Embodied OM

Yoga is so much more than a means of physical exercise and mindfulness and meditation are so much more than mere mental exercises.

They are, however, "exercises," in that are  daily and deliberate exercises in self-examination and acceptance.

Asanas (translated as the physical poses) are an integral part of  yoga practice.

Mindfulness is a state of mind through which we pay attention in a particular way without judgement.

Meditation is a means through which we learn to be more mindful in all aspects of our life.

We are, after all,  physical beings interpreting the world through our physical senses into physical manifestations; all of which are affected by how we view and feel about ourselves.

So, the "practice" begins within...with the question, "Who am I?"

As transient beings, we are always changing and so are our needs (physical, mental and emotional) from year to year, week to week, day to day, moment to moment, so the question is eternal and on-going throughout our life.

Stepping onto the mat or sitting on the chair or cushion is one way of answering that important question.

How we approach a pose or a meditation is often, if not always, exactly same as how we approach the rest of our life off the mat.  My teacher once said, "How we do anything is how we do everything."

On the mat and on the cushion, we begin discovering how we "do things" through our asanas, our thoughts

and our feelings.

I hope you will connect with me and begin answering that question for yourself.

Self exploration through mindfulness, meditation and/or yoga are opportunities to learn how to deliberately focus, think and feel...and I am honored to assist and witness your practice.

Enjoy the process!

 "In"joy....

Nods of Appreciation

I was first introduced to Leigh Ann’s yoga classes in 2016 during my 200hr Yoga teacher certification and I was hooked. Her class was like no other class I had ever

experienced. Leigh Ann’s teaching style encompasses a wide range of attributes. Most notably is her ability to combine thought provoking yogic philosophy with alignment cues that invites students to explore their bodies and practice in an authentic way. My practice is more mindful and stronger with Leigh Ann as my guide.
